It is home to things like Victoria Park and the Cenotaph which is an important landmark and green space for North Shore residents. It is also home to the Centennial Theatre, Lionsgate Hospital, Mahon Park and of course the Green Necklace. An urban greenway forming a 7.5km scenic loop around the City centre. 

The recently opened Shipyards is yet another major draw for both locals and tourists to the area.
